Report9 India :This day is still dazzling in the arras of every Indian’s memory. On September 24, 2007 at The Wanderers in Johannesburg, India wins over Pakistan by five runs. Though Gautam Gambhir contributed a very good score by hitting 75 off 54 balls, the cameo of Rohit Sharma also proved to be very crucial for winning against one of the strongest contender.

R P Singh has got two very important wickets of Mohammad Hafeez and Kamran Akmal. Whereas Irfan Pathan bowled all his over and took three wickets for sixteen runs which helped India to get clinch victory. But the presence of Misbah-Ul – Haq again took Pakistan towards winning situation. In 17th over Misbah hit three sixes against Harbhajan Singh which gave him a very good self score as well as lead the tam towards a recover position.

After much thinking the team India captain M S Dhoni decided to give the responsibility to such a player who was a new comer and after this match he was never seen in any match. He was Jogindar Singh who by taking the most important wicket of Misbah made the almost impossible to possible. Irfan Pathan was awarded man of the match.
